Job Description:
Finkbine Golf Course is looking for a Golf Shop Assistant for
the upcoming 2023 golf season. The Golf Shop Assistant will be
actively engaged with our customers and assisting them, as needed.
The Golf Shop Assistant will also assist with the golf shop
operations & merchandising, as well as coordinating with Outside
Service Attendants and Starters to ensure operations are running
smoothly.
Flexible weekly scheduling.
Must be available April 2023 - September 2023.
Weekly availability must include weekday afternoons AND
weekends.
General Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Meets and greets all guests in a friendly, courteous, and
professional manner
- Answers the phone to take tee times and assist customers with
questions and inquires
- Process payments of tee times and other retail transactions (cash
handling)
- Communicates in a clear and professional manner that assists
guests, as needed
- Ensure golf shop is presentable, items are fully stocked, and
general upkeep is maintained
- Coordinates with Outside Service Attendants to maintain a
consistent level of cart availability
and to ensure guests are taken care of
- Communicates to Starter any changes to the tee sheet or any
updates that need to be
addressed on the course
- Maintains good personal hygiene, reports to work wearing a clean,
neat uniform that follows
uniform standards
- Ability to understand and explain aspects of the golf course, our
golf shop products, and
other services/information to our guests
- Assist the Golf Professional staff, as needed
- Participates in required employee orientation and safety
trainings
- Report guest complaints promptly to Starters & Golf Professional
staff
- Other duties as assigned
