Job Description:

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics seeks a Program Coordinator to work under the guidance of Dr. Alison Lynch. This position will support the coordination of externally sponsored projects awarded to the Department of Psychiatry and the UI Addiction and Recovery Collaborative through activities related to protocol and quality controls for project management and data collection.

Position Responsibilities

* Provide support to the multidisciplinary project teams with implementation of components on multiple projects.
* Perform data entry and data checking with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Assist Evaluator with data-related needs and preparation of reporting required by funding agencies.
* Assist Project Director with administrative related needs and project tasks, including but not limited to ordering and purchasing, scheduling, printing, filing, and organizing.
* Assist with Lynch Lab website, assist with marketing materials (development, sending), assist with collecting survey data, assist with waiver trainings, respond to emails, assist with calendar and schedule management.
* Assist the Director of UI Addiction and Recovery Collaborative and PI with running meetings, including scheduling, email communication/calendar invites, agenda development, and note taking.
* Ability to work independently under time constraints and take initiative to complete tasks.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
* Ability to review and offer detailed feedback.
* Ability to work in a team environment and work effectively with colleagues, strong interpersonal skills.
* Able to independently, manage and meet deadlines on multiple projects, highly self-motivated and organized.
* Other duties as assigned.

PERCENT: 100%, full-time

PAY LEVEL: 4A,

POSITION TYPE: Specified Term, minimum of 12 months with the possibility of extension

Education Required

A Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Neuroscience, Business Administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Qualifications

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills including being comfortable with in-person, individual, and group discussions, and email, videoconferencing, and phone conversations.

Experience and willingness to interact with the public

Evidence of ability to function with a high degree of independence while actively collaborating with health care members providing care for highly complex patients

Demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment

Must be detailed oriented and proficient in computer software applications

Desirable Qualifications

Experience with research, data collection, and technical writing

Experience working with interdisciplinary teams

Background knowledge or experience working with people who have a substance use disorder

Demonstrated experience working with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality regarding protected information

Demonstrated experience in working independently under time constraints and taking initiative to complete tasks

Demonstrated experience in working effectively with colleagues; strong interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently under time constraints and take initiative to complete tasks

Ability to work remotely

Lived experience with substance use disorder
