The University of Iowa, Division of Sponsored Programs (DSP) seeks
a highly motivated, organized and detail-oriented professional to
coordinate and perform contract and grant administrative support
for the DSP. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to,
answering questions and communicating with University faculty,
staff, and students regarding University and sponsors? general
policies and procedures, coordinating grant and contract related
review and compliance documentation, entering information into the
University of Iowa Research Information System (UIRIS) database,
providing support for the DSP help desk, reviewing contracts and
grants for internal distribution, issuing award notices, and
reviewing and preparing agreements for the Director?s
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
--- Manage workflow by assigning grants and contracts for
--- Maintain database of research proposal, award and outgoing
--- Respond to email and phone inquiries and coordinate
communication between various departments.
--- Support the daily operations of the office and perform
administrative activities as assigned.

Education or Equivalency Required
A Bachelor?s degree in Business Administration or related field or
an equivalent combination of education and experience is
--- Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and
relationship management skills.
--- Some (six months to one year) administrative and financial
--- Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office software, (Excel,
Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
--- Evidence of strong organizational skills and attention to
--- Evidence providing customer service in a professional
--- Demonstrated teamwork and ability to work collaboratively.
--- Knowledge of University of Iowa general policies and
--- Administrative experience with research grants or
--- Experience working with the University of Iowa Research
Information System (UIRIS).
