Job Description:

Performance Foodservice is seeking a dedicated and efficient CDL A Route Driver for local delivery, who will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer to deliver food and food-related products to various customer locations across our service area. As a pivotal member of our logistics team, you will not only ensure timely and accurate deliveries but also uphold the high-quality service standards that Performance Foodservice is known for. This position requires excellent navigation skills, adherence to transportation laws, and a strong focus on safety and customer interaction. Safely operate a commercial vehicle in accordance with transportation laws and company policies. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure proper operating condition. Plan delivery routes efficiently and communicate effectively with dispatch regarding schedules and traffic issues. Load and unload food products manually and using hand trucks or pallet jacks, while ensuring product count accuracy. Ability to operate a commercial vehicle safely and efficiently Knowledge of transportation and safety regulations Strong communication and time management skills Ability to manually lift items weighing up to 50 lbs Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) Clean driving record DOT Medical Card
