Job Description The University of Iowa, Department of Family
Medicine provides expert patient care and support to children,
adolescents, adults, and seniors. We offer a wide range of
inpatient and outpatient services, including maternity care, in a
safe, comfortable, and confidential setting. Our faculty received
training at a variety of medical schools and postgraduate programs,
bringing a rich diversity to our department. All the physicians are
board certified, and the faculty includes individuals who have
extensive experience, as physicians and educators. The Department
Chair, Jeffrey D. Quinlan MD, who proudly served 28 years in the US
Navy, welcomes and encourages transitioning military physicians to
apply. The UI Department of Family Medicine is seeking physicians
for teaching and non-teaching opportunities to build their career
within a thriving academic healthcare system. This is an excellent
opportunity to practice a full range of primary care/family
medicine, including outpatient, inpatient, and maternity care
(operative or non-operative). Additionally, candidates are
encouraged to participate in departmental scholarship and can
explore both intramurally and extramurally funded research
activities. Faculty will practice in one of our clinics in and
around Iowa City. We have immediate openings at the following
clinics: UI Health Care Iowa City, First Avenue UI Health Care
