Salary: 60,000-$90,000 The University of Iowa Department of
Intercollegiate Athletics seeks a self-motivated, results-oriented
individual with the knowledge, ability and interpersonal skills
required to serve as the Director of Equipment Operations - a
full-time position that includes full University benefits. The
University of Iowa is an NCAA Division I institution and a member
of the Big Ten Conference. The Department of Athletics manages 22
varsity sports programs and related events with a workforce of
approximately 200 regular employees and 300 temporary employees.

Director of Equipment Operations is responsible for providing
leadership and oversight of all Athletic Equipment room operations.
This includes providing leadership to personnel in multiple
facilities, providing service to multiple athletic teams, oversight
of the departmental inventory management system and departmental
equipment operation budgets. This position will be the primary
contact for men's and women's basketball and other sports, as
assigned. Additionally, this position will provide assistance to
staff servicing sports from the Carver-Hawkeye Arena equipment

---Bachelor Degree or equivalent combination of education and
experience is required. ---Minimum of three years of experience in
the operation of an athletics equipment room at the
college/university or professional level. Experience includes
equipment purchasing, distribution, collection and laundering.
---Supervisory experience of full-time staff. ---Excellent oral and
written communication skills. ---Ability to work constructively and
collaboratively in a diverse environment, demonstrating strong
interpersonal skills and ability to build trusting relationships.
---Excellent organizational skills. ---A valid U.S. driving license
and the ability to meet and maintain University of Iowa Driving
Policy standards. ---Working knowledge of and ability to: oUtilize
Microsoft Office. oUtilize electronic inventory management system.
oOperate effectively within a highly regulated team environment.
Desired Qualifications: ---Basic knowledge and understanding of the
professionalism and intensity necessary to successfully contribute
to a Division I athletics program. ---Minimum of three years of
supervisory experience of full-time staff. ---Minimum of five years
of experience in the operation of an athletics equipment room at
the college/university or professional level ---AEMA (Athletic
Equipment Managers Association) Certification ---Knowledge of NCAA
and Big Ten rules and regulations. ---Management of a large apparel
