Job Description:
This Professional & Scientific position will be filled as either a
Project Manager (PAE2) or Senior Project Manager (PAE3) based on
candidate qualifications and interview evaluation. To express

give a 30-minute Project Overview Presentation using MS PowerPoint.

University of Iowa Health Care has an opening for a Senior/Project
Manager to support its enterprise-wide strategic initiatives to
create a more diverse, equitable and inclusive environment in which
to work and learn. This position will be appointed through the
Health Care Project Management Office (PMO) within the department
of Health Care Information Systems (HCIS). The overarching goal of
the PMO is to provide Project Management support for the University
of Iowa Health Care community, through the application of the
Project Management Institute global standard methodology, for
delivering projects within budget, on schedule, according to scope,
and in a way that best contributes to accomplishing the University
of Iowa Health Care strategic plan.

manager will be dedicated to supporting, leading, and overseeing
the UI Health Care DEI Initiatives and projects across the
enterprise.
The responsibility for this position will be to employ basic
project management skills to ensure that DEI project goals and
objectives are met within the established requirements. Duties
include, but are not limited to, preparing project status reports,
tracking resource management, conducting/facilitating project
meetings, ensuring the project progress on schedule, addressing
constraints, and mitigating risks and challenges in a timely
manner.
Advanced project management skills associated with this position
will require the ability to work with a range of stakeholders
including the Office of the Vice President for Medical Affairs,
Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the Carver College of
Medicine, staff-level employees, department-level leadership,
hospital administration, medical & clinical staff, division
leadership and technical users. It will be the responsibility of
the project manager to analyze project requirements, develop
implementation strategies and provide guidance and oversight
throughout the program/project management life cycle, serving as a
change agent for the organization and working effectively in a
diverse environment in conjunction with the project leaders and
executive sponsors.

Pay Grade: Salary: $70,000 to commensurate – 5BThe University of
Iowa offers a generous benefits package, including 24 days paid

Education Required
A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business or
Management, Public Health, Health Administration or a related
Health Industry discipline, or an equivalent combination of
education and experience.
