Job Description Job Description General Labor - Construction Clean Up Job Description Join a leading provider of critical environmental cleaning services as a General Laborer, contributing to the construction and final cleaning services of a major data center in Cedar Rapids, IA. This role involves maintaining cleanliness throughout the construction area, ensuring a safe and clean environment for ongoing construction activities. Responsibilities Clean all exposed interior surfaces within the construction area from the floor to the building deck above. Perform tasks such as mopping, wiping, vacuuming, and brushing surfaces to remove dust and dirt. Utilize scissor lifts, boom poles, brooms, and towels for cleaning hard-to-reach areas. Be alert and attentive while working around active construction activities. Pressure wash outside panels, generator coverings, and flooring once installed. Work involves standing, kneeling, bending, and using ladders. Essential Skills Experience in construction, cleaning, and general labor. Understanding of working alongside other trades and operating heavy equipment. Familiarity with hand tools, mitigation, and restoration techniques. Knowledge of environmental remediation processes. Benefit from a supportive team culture and opportunities for overtime work. Work Environment Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional overtime and Saturdays. The first day starts at 5:30 AM with orientation. A 42-hour workweek is typical, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Ensure to pack a lunch with an ice pack, as no fridges are available, but microwaves are provided. Dress code includes steel-toed boots, work-appropriate attire, and ANSI-certified safety gear. Work is mostly indoors, with some outdoor tasks; be prepared for all weather conditions. Collaborate in teams of 4-5, ensuring effective teamwork and communication. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
