Job Description Job Description Apprentice Electrician – $22–$27/hr Job Type: Full?time Pay: $22–$27 per hour (based on experience and certifications) Schedule: Monday–Friday, occasional overtime Location: Cedar Rapids, IA Start: ASAP About the Role We are hiring a motivated 3rd Year Apprentice Electrician to join our growing electrical team. This position is ideal for someone currently enrolled in an apprenticeship program who wants steady work, hands?on experience, and opportunities to advance toward becoming a licensed Journeyman. You will work under licensed electricians, assist with installations, troubleshoot electrical systems, and learn advanced skills in both commercial and residential environments. Responsibilities Assist Journeyman and Master Electricians with daily tasks Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment Pull wire, bend conduit, install panels, outlets, switches, and lighting Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean job site Troubleshoot basic electrical issues under supervision Document work performed and communicate progress to supervisors Qualifications Currently a 3rd Year Apprentice in a registered electrical apprenticeship program 2–3 years of electrical field experience Basic understanding of NEC codes and electrical safety practices Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment Reliable transportation and strong work ethic Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions What We Offer Competitive pay: $22–$27/hr Overtime opportunities Year?round, steady work Training and advancement toward Journeyman licensing Supportive team environment and career growth Apply Directly Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
