The Associate Director for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and
Employee Experience is responsible for partnering with Finance and
Operations Human Resources & senior leaders to lead the development
of the foundation, structure and action plan needed to build
organizational and cultural change that support diversity, equity,
inclusion (DEI) and the employee experience. The position will
ensure alignment with university and organizational core values.
The person in this role will lead the implementation of the plan
and manage the change process necessary to improve diversity and
inclusion results and operationalize the link between diversity,
inclusion, and the employee experience. Duties will include:
- Enhance leadership awareness, commitment, and accountability
for employee experience and diversity, equity, and inclusion action
plans across the organization in addition to efforts that advance
our core values that impact employee engagement.
- Proactively support the assessment and development of learning
and recognition focused programs and initiatives to enhance the
employee experience, ensure that the knowledge building needs of
Finance and Operations are met, and better enable leaders to manage
performance and professional development for their teams.
- In partnership with Finance & Operation Human Resources,
develop, implement, and evolve our division-wide DEI strategy in
with key stakeholders and aligned to organization core values,
goals and objectives, with focus in areas of recruitment, talent
management, leadership development, learning & development, and
retention that advances our overall employee experience.
- Collaborate with campus partners and/or develop training
programs with a D&I-focused curriculum to educate employees and
leaders about unconscious bias and inclusion and diversity best
practices and behaviors.
- Maintain knowledge of current and emerging diversity and
inclusion principles and best practices in both the public sector
and private industry on diversity, inclusion, and employee
engagement and recommends appropriate changes to programs, policies

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience.
- Professional experience (typically minimum of 3 years) in a
leadership role, with specific responsibilities for leading
strategic projects and/or programs.
- Deep commitment to and demonstrated success discussing,
integrating, and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion
throughout a complex and dynamic organization.
- Demonstrable presentation skills to clearly convey complex
messages to a range of audiences, to articulate points clearly and
concisely, and to negotiate effectively with diverse
- Demonstrable verbal and written communication, and
interpersonal skills with the ability to work and communicate with
a diverse group of individuals. Possesses organizational awareness
and cross-cultural sensitivity.
- Demonstrable ability to drive change: to transform, align and
inspire across all levels within an organization.
- Proven track record of facilitating organization-wide
initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
- Project management experience
- Must have superior MS office skills including report
development and presentation. Desired:
- Continuous improvement attitude, the ability to suggest and
implement best practices, and demonstrable cognizance of conceptual
- Experience with engagement, survey, and employee input tools
- Experience as a working professional managing a program or
department in a large, complex organization.
- Experience translating data and analytics to develop insights,
drive decision-making, and measure impact.
- Produce regular internal communications that promote
initiatives, programming, events and progress as well as those that
